a corporate administrator in JSE Listed companies
with stints as Group Company Secretary at Santam Limited, AVI Limited and Kumba Iron Ore Limited where he also was the business integrity and ethics champion. Vusani is an admitted attorney with extensive experience in applied company law
and administration.

Robert’s Legacy: INMISO’s founding member, Robert,  brings 25+ years’ experience in mining legal affairs.  His proven track record safeguards and advances multinational interests. He excels in forming high-performing legal teams, managing operations, risk, compliance, commercial mining law, and international arbitration. Holding pivotal positions at Hogan Lovells, Anglo American, Kumba Iron Ore, and Deloitte, Robert’s expertise extends to labor law, community engagement, legal project management,  and product development. With qualifications from BCom Law to Advanced Diploma in Labor Law, he’s an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, and an Anglo American Global Achiever Award recipient for leading a pivotal mining law case.

Grant’s Mining Legal Mastery: Grant, with over 25 years in mining, specializes in commercial law, intellectual property, and community relations. Key roles at Johannesburg Investment Company Ltd and Anglo American have honed his expertise. He managed the Global Intellectual Policy and Strategy Portfolio at Anglo American. Grant’s skills include surface rights, restitution claims, intellectual property, risk management, and litigation. He’s notably developed a cost-effective, bespoke Mining Rehabilitation Guarantee to meet environmental requirements. His wealth of experience is a valuable asset for navigating mining complexities.

As a former University of Pretoria student involved in developing a Financial Literacy model, Dean emphasises community development, legal technology, training, and project management.
